How to Season and Maintain an Enamel Pot?

Created on 12.06
• Seasoning the pan: First, add a small amount of tap water and a few drops of neutral dish soap. Use a soft sponge to clean the inside and outside of the pan thoroughly, then dry it. Pour in a spoonful of lard or vegetable oil, and with low heat, carefully coat the blackened parts of the pan 2-3 times. Finally, pour out any excess lard, rinse with warm water, and dry completely.
• Maintenance: After use, let the pan cool down naturally before washing. Use less detergent, and avoid using hard or sharp utensils like stainless steel spatulas or steel wool brushes. If food burns, soak the pan in warm water, then wipe with a soft cloth dipped in baking soda powder. After each use, make sure to dry any moisture by baking it or wiping it clean, and apply a thin layer of oil. When washing the pan regularly, use a clip to prop up the lid to allow air circulation.
